Okay, those of you who came here for whatever reason, I don't use this, as you can tell. If you want to know what's going on in my life or read my writing, look on my DA or FA pages. That is all.

Hi, all. Midterms are this Wednesday and Thursday, so my online presence will likely be spotty at best. Hopefully, my latest submission will tide you over until I return.

Writing

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Samus Aran
Anyone who knows me very well knows that I take writing very seriously, especially my own. When my family praises my writing, it's an ego booster. When a stranger or a friend praises my writing, it makes my day. When a teacher or someone whose writing ability I consider to equal or surpass my own praises my writing, it makes my week.

T'other day, I had a meeting with of my English professors to show him the journals I had written for what we had read. Although there are only about nine students in this class, including me, he said that my journals were some of the best organized out of all the ones he had read so far. Go me ^_^

In other news, I realize it's been a while since I last gave y'all an update on how I'm doing in Pokemon Emerald. Well, I seem to have fallen into a phase in which I'm driven to simply raise Pokemon to Battle Frontier status for the fun of it. Check out this stable:

The whole battle-ready stock (all Lv50)
Aameul (Houndoom F): Flamethrower, Crunch, Fire Blast, Iron Tail.
Amp (Magneton): Thunderbolt, Toxic, Shock Wave, Double Team.
Armordillo (Armaldo M): Rock Slide, Brick Break, Swords Dance, Aerial Ace.
Charizard (Same M): Flamethrower, Aerial Ace, Swords Dance, Earthquake.
Ciel (Blaziken F): Flamethrower, Sky Uppercut, Bulk Up, Rock Slide.
Confucius (Alakazam M): Psychic, Shock Wave, Calm Mind, Recover.
Deva (Latios M): Psychic, Calm Mind, Dragonbreath, Recover.
Doomtrain (Aggron M): Iron Tail, Rock Slide, Toxic, Earthquake.
Grave (Dusclops M): Night Shade, Toxic, Seismic Toss, Confuse Ray.
Holly (Breloom F): Mach Punch, Giga Drain, Sky Uppercut, Sludge Bomb.
Jinzo (Metagross): Psychic, Scary Face, Meteor Mash, Earthquake.
Mantrap (Cradily M): Rock Slide, Giga Drain, Toxic, Confuse Ray.
Priscilla (Absol F): Shadow Ball, Aerial Ace, Rock Slide, Swords Dance.
Registeel (Same): Metal Claw, Seismic Toss, Toxic, Double Team.
Ryu (Ninjask F): Aerial Ace, Fury Cutter, Swords Dance, Dig.
Salamandra (Salamence F): Dragonbreath, Aerial Ace, Brick Break, Earthquake.
Sathir (Sceptile M): Leaf Blade, Screech, Aerial Ace, Rock Slide.

More to come :evillaugh:

The ancient trinity

Kerafyrm (78 Rayquaza): Dragon Claw, Aerial Ace, Dragon Dance, Extremespeed.

Hooray dogs!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

One of the first things I learned that sucks about being at college is being all but cut off from animal contact. Even though home and dogs I love are a 30-45-minute drive away, to go so long without touching something warm, soft, and living is hell for me. Somehow I've survived three years of it, yes, but that doesn't make it much easier. This makes meeting an animal that I can touch all the more sweeter, and yesterday, I hit the jackpot.

Apparently yesterday was St. Francis of Assisi Day, at least here at my college, and people were invited to bring their pets to daily chapel for a blessing. St. Francis, to the best of my knowledge, is the patron saint of animals and in his time, 1182(?)-1226, advocated simple life and a love of nature. I very rarely go to chapel, which is optional, in fact this is probably the first time I've gone to chapel in months of school time. Advertise the presence of animals, though, and I'm there. I read on a poster once that, among other things, every dog lover would buy almost any product a dog advertises.

Sure enough, there were at least eight dogs among the participants of chapel yesterday. Included were two golden retrievers, a bigass samoyed (mix?), a little ragamuffin terrier-ish dog, a bulldog or boxer of some kind...maybe a bullboxer, and a couple other dogs I can't place (one of which I'd guess was a shepherd mix). All were able to be petted, though some were more eager than others; one of the goldens was eleven weeks old and was absolutely delighted to be petted but couldn't sit still for a second. The whole chapel had praise of life and nature in their many forms as its central theme. I left the chapel smelling like dogs and absolutely delighted.

Next year, I'll bring Maggie and maybe some of her friends ^_^

In honor of this auspicious event, I'm submitting some pictures of some of the dogs I've come to particularly love, as well as some haiku I wrote about them for an English class a semester ago. Enjoy, yah?

At about 8:45 P.M. this evening, my low disk space warning came on (meaning that I had >200 MB of space left). This has happened a few times in recent days, but earlier today, I deleted about 500MB worth of data. To my great surprise and fear, I had suddenly fallen to 168MB of space. As I spoke to my online friends about this, I saw it fall to 162MB and then 156MB of space for no obvious reason. At their suggestion, I physically disconnected my internet access and ran my Spyware and anti-virus programs (which I had disabled for about 15 minutes to try to play an online game, of course with no luck -_- the technological shit just hit the fan tonight).

After deleting some other stuff to give myself some breathing room, and moving my 2.75GB library of anime music videos onto my iPod (which I probably should have done ages ago, the situation seems to have stabilized, leaving me with 3.14GB of free space; ample wiggle room. I don't seem to have lost any irreplaceable data (meaning my schoolwork and my personal documents/stories/chat logs). To be safe, I have everything valuable backed up in two locations (yes, I backup my stuff regularly anyway).

I'm going to talk to student computing first chance I get.

Know that although I'm prepared for the worst, if the worst does indeed happen, that will be a considerable setback in just about every aspect of my online life. There are other computers here so if the technological equivalent of Meteor does befall Lappy-san, I'll at least be able to let y'all know and give periodic notifications that I'm still alive and thinking of ya.

In an effort to smile, a word of warning: wash your hands immediately after finishing a conversation with me. Otherwise you might catch a deaaadly computer virus.

*yawn*

Gonna put some stories up soon, including at least one new story, maybe two. Rejoice.

Man, I wish I could post something interesting here besides IM stuff, but I think you'll find this one to be very different from what I've posted so far. Know that this contains semi-angsty stuff, but it's also a sensitive topic for me, so if you're going to comment, choose your words carefully. Also, after getting some sleep, I feel a good bit better, so don't worry about me, kay?

Chris Snowfur: XD Where perverts
Si M: I don't know why, but having you seemingly take a genuine interest in me like this is...really flattering.
Chris Snowfur: ^..^ I realy likes ya
Chris Snowfur: :P I am one person one never forgets, weather good nor bad, but i could care less witch, aslong as people rember the name 'Snowfur'. They could spit on it, or praise it as belonging to there closest friend ^..^ I still acheive imortalty in a sence
Si M: Heh...well, I like ya too.
Chris Snowfur: ^..^ *Higher plane of thinking mode off*
Si M: Man...now I've gone from super horny to super romantic.
Chris Snowfur: ^..^
Chris Snowfur: There both intertwined, One needs the other.
Si M: Not necessarily, but they can go quite well together.
Chris Snowfur: Lol but think of it like this. There can be no romance unless the urge to have sex is there, I.E being horny, and Being romantic more often then not comes first. So they do in fact need each other
Si M: Once again, I disagree. I've come to distinguish romance from sex.
Chris Snowfur: There are many points of veiw, i have mine and you have yours ^..^
Chris Snowfur: I dunno why, but i feel all sage like since i got out of the shower :P
Si M: Yeah. I didn't always think like that; that's a rather new change in point of view (maybe no more than a couple of months old).
Chris Snowfur: ^..^
Chris Snowfur: I may not realy differenceat [differentiate] between them, but i know they are fundemently diffrent, all i am saying is more often then not they lead to one another. Romance breeds attraction, Attraction breed the need to breed, so one and so forth
Si M: I'll give you that one.
Chris Snowfur: ^..^ This applise to most things, There cannot be Life with out Death, Peace with out Chaos. It's all Yin and Yang. The positive needs the negitive, they work together to create balance, one pushes the other, one chaises the other.
Si M: Yeah...but sometimes the idea of balance rubs me wrong. I still think it sucks that peace follows strife, for instance.
Chris Snowfur: But it has to happen. I will give you this exsample. A butterfly is traped in a spiders web, If you leave them be, the butterfly dies, But if you free it, the spider dies. Its all about the circle of life and death, Peace and chaos, As the moon follows the sun and the dawn chaises off the darkness.
Si M: *horse sigh* ...Guess we can't all live on the Blessed Fields of Elysium....
Chris Snowfur: :P Its not somthing to think to deep on, Its one of the mysterys of this world that will drive you mad trying to solve every bend
Chris Snowfur: I only understand so much, with has given me the fortitude to let others darkness slide off me, knowing light will soon follow
Si M: *lets out another horse sigh*
Chris Snowfur: Life is as hard to understand as it is easy to explane away
Chris Snowfur: I will leave you with this tibit, you yourself are playing your part, you are the light that chaises the darkness away, The one to bring peace to the Chaos, Life to the Death.
Si M: *smiles a little*
Chris Snowfur: We all have our roles, I like to think of myself as the one in the middle, with a foot in each. Hence my main characters first incarnation as a Anglic Demon
Si M: Heh...sometimes I envy the ability to have a foot in each, as you say.
Chris Snowfur: And i envy you, Becuse have not truly seen the darkness, you my friend are as pure as the morning sun.
Si M: Pure or ignorant?
Chris Snowfur: There is a big diffrent, i know far to well you have seen the darkness, but you do not have any in you..............I on the other hand do, i at one time was almost consumed by it
Si M: Bah. I have no idea what darkness really is, and ignorance is a very poor substitute for innocence.
Chris Snowfur: [Deleted. Please, don't ask.]
Si M: ...No.
Chris Snowfur: *Nods* Then you are a lot purer of mind then i am
Chris Snowfur: :P Enough of this deep thought, its making my head hurt
Si M: Merf...I could go on...but maybe we should move on.
Chris Snowfur: Lol ya, before we warp each others minds even furthers
Si M: Besides, even on Elysium (I'm talking about the D&D cosmology), there's still opportunity to aid others.
Chris Snowfur: *Noddles*
Chris Snowfur: I like to think i help others, that mably a bit of what makes me so stronge rubs off on others
Si M: *lets out another long sigh* Looks as if the only place I could find contentment is nirvana, but when I've thought of that, I don't even want to go there...the thought of leaving this earth, as painful as it can be, and all of my friends behind....
Chris Snowfur: Thats what i am talking about, dont think about it to hard, you will drive your self mad
Si M: Heh, I'm quite accustomed to thinking about it too hard. But seldom do I have someone willing to listen.
Chris Snowfur: ^..^ I am a lot deeper then most people give me credit for
Si M: So...guess I'm stuck here, much as it sucks.
Chris Snowfur: Lol dont think like that, You are surounded by friends and loved ones, You have the freedom to express your self artisitly((Your storys)) You wake up to a bright morning every day, yes there are times life sucks, but you have to take the good with the bad, what dose not kill you((Mind, body or soul)) Makes you stronger
Si M: ...Yeah....
Si M: I dunno...maybe I'm just lonely or something...I'll be okay.
Chris Snowfur: ^..^ Yours is out there
Si M: *smile* Let us hope we find each other.
Chris Snowfur: ^..^ I know you will

Boredom

*scratches self and groans* There's a four-hour lull between classes on Tuesday and Thursday, which leaves me really freaking bored! I mean, I just translated my latest Wild story over the course of a couple of hours and then proofed a friend's short story just out of boredom...yeah, this gives me a little more online presence, but when I get bored this easily, it means it's time to...do...something I haven't figured out yet. Probably work on a particularly long story.

I wonder if someone I know from the deli has looked at this site yet. I told her I translate roleplays into stories and use this site as my blog of sorts, but I didn't tell her anything about the stories. Heh heh....

False alarm, nothing worth looking at here, sorry to bother you.

Okay, I'll eventually have something up besides more of the crap I've been putting up in my scraps, but I go back to college tomorrow. Once I get settled in and all my stuff sorted out, writing, editing and talking to friends online will again become primary diviersions, so give things time: the pendulum will swing the other direction.

It's been a pretty damn good summer, I must say. I worked at the Rainbow deli again, and although I wanted to not work there this summer, I had a great time: now that I'm actually writing stuff, I had all the time I needed to muse on story and RP ideas.

I finally started reading :iconkirbygod:'s stories, and as I expected, I bit off a lot. More than I could chew? Not likely...just need time to digest. They gave me one pretty sweet character in the making (see next story ideas).

I did some great RPing, both on boards and via IM, giving me tons of story material.

Now...if only this weren't likely my last summer. Oh well. I'm anxious about what I'll be doing at this time next year, but I'll figure something out.

On a side note, if anyone's interested in my Emerald progress, I just got to the Elite Four. Haven't challenged them yet: gonna go build my levels.

Solar (Blaziken): Flamethrower, Double Kick, Rock Tomb, Bulk Up.
Tides (Swampert): Surf, Ice Beam, Mud Shot, Toxic.
Sathir (Sceptile): Leaf Blade, Screech, Rock Tomb, Facade.
Doomtrain (Aggron): Iron Tail, Rock Tomb, Toxic, Earthquake (will be replaced).
Confucius (Alakazam): Psychic, Shock Wave, Calm Mind, Recover.
Amp (Magneton): Thunderbolt, Toxic, Shock Wave, Double Team.

Next story

Series
The Horrors I've Seen Ch. 3 Pt. 1: The crew takes its first step to rescuing Kasey. They also meet a very unexpected ally.

Love in the Wild Ch. 6: A workout session turns amorous and subsequently heartwarming.

The Next Level Ch. 2: Doomtrain and Vixxen go on a little outing and then to the very busy Snowfur house. Involves some more Pokemon battling ^_^

The Warrior Clan Dragon Bailmont Ch. 2: A few months down the road, Bailmont becomes a little more amorous with a certain hybrid, but a Pokemon attack ruins the mood.

One-shots and prologues
A Dragon Mateship Ch. 1: Bailmont and Dove's mateship party.

New stuff
Whatever I feel like...but here's some samples.

[No title]: Follows the path of a fox woman's pregnancy after the father bails upon hearing the news.

[No title]: Husband and wife anthro canines become a father and mother. Nothing super special: kind of Eggcitations but much less erotic.

Ever's 21st [working title]: The translation and finishing of an RP started by two dear friends as a celebration of my 21st birthday. Also the start of what will be a long and involved romance (at least, that's what I hope I can call it).

Shade [working title]: What I hope to be my first real story that is not based on an RP. Describes the birth and early life of who will become my fan character of :iconkirbygod:'s stories: a draken who was supposed to be a weapon.

It's my last week before I go back to school and now there's not much to do but wait it out and volunteer my ass off. Graduation requirement, don't ask (since I don't know much either). My sister's also off to college herself for her first year. Give 'em hell, sis.

But besides that, I think I've come full circle on Pregfur. The full story's available upon request, but I discovered and started frequenting that site in mid April, 2004. The first thing I did when I found it was look at the stories (I've long been scouring the net for a good read) and read Mateo Rojo's Redemption in one sitting (that's some seventy printed pages). I can say with great certainty that it changed my life, and the site itself still does whether I'm making friends or writing stories.

I bring this up because after some two and a third years, I finally have a story up on Pregfur's stories page...so I'd say I've come full circle. And I only plan to have more put up as time goes on. Booyeah ^_^

Now how 'bout helping me pick what to do next, ya?

Well, I have some good news. After some five months, the sequel to what is currently my most popular and (on Yiffstar) highest-rated story is up. Rest easy, friends, knowing that Rain and I don't plan to stop ^_^

But you know, I'm not just here today to talk to you as an artist. I'm also here to talk to you as a friend. We all know of people who think their art sucks, whether because they just don't have a high opinion of it or because they've been told that it sucks so often that they believe it. As we know, this lack of self-esteem (which sometimes even crosses over into lack of self-respect) is anathema to the art community, especially when the artists in question have genuine talent...meaning that unlike me, they can draw something recognizable.

I bring this up because there's one such artist in need of some support. Maybe you know of her, maybe you don't, but here's her art: http://pregfur.org/gallery/MollyMargay

Note that this is a pregfurry gallery, meaning it contains images of pregnant anthropomorphic women. Go or don't go; I won't hold it against you if the thought makes you uncomfortable.

Listening to: Nothing.

My first source for information in this is from my furiend Nauta's LJ.

http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/news/15202942.htm

*shifts to displacer form, tentacles thrashing about madly* What...the fuck...is this? A nine-year-old girl all but climbs into an exhibit at the Minnesota Zoo to try to pet a meerkat, nobody stops her, she is thus bitten, and all of the five meerkats in the family are euthanized and tested (negative) for rabies because her parents didn't want her to get the six rabies shots?!

'"Parents need to watch their kids better," Wahl said. "And a 9-year-old really should know better."' No fucking duh!

'"It's definitely given me pause in the past," Schewe said. "My 4-year-old is a monkey, and he could probably climb right over."

The girl had to work to get her hand inside the enclosure. Zoo officials said she must have crawled over a driftwood barrier, climbed up more than 3 feet of artificial rock and reached over 4 feet of Plexiglas to get her arm into the exhibit.'

Good gravy, was the exhibit deserted when this was going on?! No one tried to stop her? According to Nauta, the barriers are taller than he is (I've never seen them), so...what in the name of the Faceless happened?!

Rather than have a little girl learn a pretty valuable lesson, five meerkats were needlessly euthanized.

I can say with no small amount of certainty that I had better never find out who this girl is or the temptation to do bad things with sympathetic furiends will be too much to resist.

*stomps off to break something*

In gooder news, the next Tides will be done soon. Kudos to Dash for giving it a comb-through for me.

Well, I finally got a CD I've been waiting for for like, a friggin' month and a half (-_-). Has it been worth the wait? A month's wait, perhaps, but six weeks is really pushing it. Oh well, it's here now. *blisses out on New Agey stuff ^_^*

Anyway, since I can't set up a poll here, I'm wondering what everyone wants to see next. Do you want to see the next chapter of one of my series, a continuation of something that only has one story so far, or something new? To recap, the possibilities are:

Series
As Certain as the Tides
A Dragon Mateship
The Horrors I've Seen
Love in the Wild
The Next Level
The Warrior Clan Dragon Bailmont

One-shots and prologues
Eggcitations

Or something new. I already have at least one semi-original story that's grinding the gears *taps head* but any requests in that direction will help give it power...and I don't want to skimp on this one.

More than one response, whether here or in a note or whatever, would be most appreciated.

Now for something a bit funnier. Over the last week or so I've been playing True Crime: New York City. As kind of expected, another GTA wannabe, though that's not to say it isn't fun...even if I got bored of it after a week.

Now, I've never been to the Big Apple, but if it's anything like the game, I've learned something very important: New Yorkers are suicidal. There's just no other explanation for why they stand right in front of or beside their car after you commandeer it: I think I've run over more of these morons than criminals fleeing the scene. Or for why they wait until the last moment to (try to) get out of the way of a police car with its sirens on (yeah, I was driving in an area for pedestrians, but it wasn't all that fast, and c'mon, I'm a cop!). Or why they don't figure out that not wearing a seatbelt is a bad flippin' idea, especially when going through intersections...but I gotta admit, I do get a certain evil joy in seeing them fly through their windsheilds after I blindside them while chasing a criminal. *evil cackle*

...Or maybe it's just lazy programming.

To any real-life New Yawkers reading this, please don't take it personally. Take it out on the makers of the game...and don't gas-can-bomb my house. Please.

The game did give me some nice catchphrases, though, in addition to making me cuss like a sailor for the week I was playing it (no, not really, but...). My favorites:
"Time to make like a banana and get the f*** outta here!"
"You got the right to an attorney and some other s*** I can't remember."

"Borrowed" this from Kaz o'er on WISWRP, and I looove to do stuff like this ^_^

IF A MOVIE WAS [sic] MADE OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?

So, here's how it works:

Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, etc).
Put it on shuffle.
Press play.
For every question type the song that's playing.
When you go to a new question press the next button.
Ready? GO!

Opening Credits:
Midnight Thunder Boy - Viewtiful Joe soundtrack (Team Viewtiful)
[*shrug* Might make for a good opening cutscene, but credits, I dunno.]

Waking Up:
No Such Thing - John Mayer
[This'll be good if I'm feeling really disinterested in the world. I can see myself looking at a bunch of newspaper articles after I wake up and just being totally turned off by them.]

Falling In Love:
The Warrior - Scandal
[Sweet! I consider this to be the "falling in love" song for several of my own characters, particularly Solar and Fenris...awesome, awesome.]

Fight Scene:
First Place! - F-Zero GX soundtrack (Nintendo)
[Dang...perfect music for after the fight, but not during.]

Breaking Up:
Love Train - The O'Jays
[Lookin' for a little rebound action, perhaps?]

Make-up:
Fight With Seymour - Final Fantasy X soundtrack (Square Enix)
[Heh, I see we have to physically vent at each other first. Fine with me: better out than in, I guess.]

Secret Love:
Feather - F-Zero GX soundtrack
[...Can't say this wows me in any way.]

Life's Okay:
Dr. Robert Stuart - F-Zero GX soundtrack
[Again, not a very appropriate song...unless I'm a scientist or something.]

Heartbreak:
Final Fantasy VII (Orchestra Version) - Final Fantasy VII Reunion Tracks
[This can be good. As a song that's meant to be epic in scope, it can signify a variety of emotions.]

Mental Breakdown:
Happier Ending - Viewtiful Joe 2 soundtrack (Team Viewtiful)
[...-_- I must be going pretty loopy.]

Driving:
Wings For My Way - F-Zero GX soundtrack
[Freaking score! The title music for one of the few racing games I like!]

Flashbacks:
Standing Ovation - Team Viewtiful
[I must be recalling my glory days.]

Happy Dance:
City of Flickering Destruction - Yoko Shinomura
[...*sigh*]

Regretting:
Hurrah for the Champion - F-Zero GX soundtrack
[Is my iPod on crack?]

Long Night Alone:
Fragments of Sorrow - Kingdom Hearts soundtrack (Disney/Square Enix)
[S***t!]

Final Battle:
Inferno Lord Fire Leo - Viewtiful Joe soundtrack

Death Scene:
Thunder Devil Alastor - Viewtiful Joe soundtrack
[Heh, I go down fighting like a hurricane, I see.]

Ending Credits:
Sacred Moon - Kingdom Hearts II soundtrack (Square Enix)
[Mm...nice cooldown music.]

And now, what I want it to be...with some extra categories thrown in.

Opening Credits:
Sanctuary ~opening version~ - Kingdom Hearts II
[Because it's a great opening song for a great opening sequence. I don't care if you have another opinion, it's wrong XP]

Waking Up:
Carrie's Irish Lullaby - Nobuo Uematsu [Original name: Final Fantasy Celtic Moon: Prologue]
[Yeah, I can totally see myself walking through a medieval town or whatnot ^_^]

Falling In Love:
Dearly Beloved - Kingdom Hearts soundtrack
[Because it makes me really sentimental.]

Fight Scene 1:
Fields of Honor - Kingdom Hearts II soundtrack
[Yeah, really kung fuish stuff ^_^]

Breaking Up:
Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones
[Um...I don't have any other good breakup music.]

Make-up:
Roll to Me - Del Amitri
[Sounds like a good "we need each other" song.]

Secret Love:
???

Life's Okay:
Wutai - Final Fantasy VII soundtrack
[Guess I moved to Asia :P I don't listen to music to feel "just okay," I do it to draw out emotions and reactions.]

Heartbreak:
You Gotta Be - Des'ree
[Listen as your day unfolds / Challenge what the future holds / Try and keep your head up to the skyyy. Lovers they may cause you tears / Go ahead, release your fears / Stand up and be counted, don't be ashamed to cry / You gotta be...]

Fight Scene 2:
YuRiPa Battle 2 - Final Fantasy X-2 soundtrack
[It's fast paced and great music for a big fight scene :P]

Mental Breakdown:
Meteor, Ultimate Destruct Magic - Final Fantasy VII soundtrack [Original name: The North Cave]
[Ominous and foreboding music, and losing my mind is a most inauspicious occasion....]

Driving:
Mute City - F-Zero GX soundtrack
[I knew the moment I heard this song that I was gonna like the soundtrack for this game. I was right.]

Flashbacks:
Results - F-Zero GX soundtrack
[Cuz.]

Hurry!:
Condition Red! - Viewtiful Joe soundtrack
[I always get pretty revved up when I listen to this.]

Together Forever:
Dearly Beloved - Kingdom Hearts II soundtrack
[The evolution of a song that already makes me really sentimental.]

Fighting to the Final Battle:
To the End of the World - Kingdom Hearts soundtrack [Original name: Blast Away! 3]
[Because it's music about getting to a final battle in the game...or something like that, and it's fast paced so it works :P]

Last Battle With The Rival:
Duel of the Fates - John Williams
[Music meant to choreograph a climactic clash...nice.]

Final Battle:
Inferno Lord Fire Leo - Viewtiful Joe soundtrack
[Because I love this song, so thea.]

Final Battle, Second Wind:
One-Winged Angel (Orchestra Version) - Final Fantasy VII Reunion Tracks
[Oh, you know that's gotta be here ^_^]

Death Scene:
My Sweet Lord - George Harrison
[As much as I try to be fairly religiously neutral, I do so hope there's an afterlife...and that it has animals.]

Ending Credits:
Final Fantasy VII (Orchestra Version) - Final Fantasy VII Reunion Tracks
[Because it's epic in scope, and my life has a big cast.]

Now, I had my sprite comic phase in my freshman and sophomore years of college. Read tons of sprite comics from the day I arrived at college. Then during my junior year...only a couple. This, however, is an enormous honor. One that I hope I may repay in kind.

Highlights of our relevant conversation, which I do have permission to post:

Chocomobo (10:07:41 PM): well, the fans are gonna lynch me soon if I don't tell them the new guy's name
Chocomobo (10:07:56 PM): main problem was that I didn't have a good one for him.
Evertide05 (10:08:01 PM): Heh, I thought that was pretty funny.
Chocomobo (10:08:28 PM): and since the humans are all named after my friends... does "Si" sound all right?
Evertide05 (10:08:55 PM): ...
Chocomobo (10:09:36 PM): I somehow tought that would be your reaction ^^
Evertide05 (10:10:17 PM): Well...how else would I react?
Chocomobo (10:10:39 PM): mainly, just like you did :)
Evertide05 (10:10:57 PM): Um...er...hmm...
Chocomobo (10:11:35 PM): how about "yes" or "no"? ;)
Evertide05 (10:11:42 PM): How about "why me"?
Chocomobo (10:12:10 PM): well, I like you. You're definitely on my top four friends list :D
Evertide05 (10:12:28 PM): ......Really?
Chocomobo (10:12:32 PM): yeah! ^^
Evertide05 (10:12:39 PM): *feels incredibly honored*
Evertide05 (10:13:05 PM): In that case...I'd really be honored.
Chocomobo (10:13:23 PM): good, that's how I had hoped you'd feel :D
Evertide05 (10:14:00 PM): Heh...amazing. I had a sprite comic phase during my freshman and sophomore college year: read tons and tons. Then during my junior year...*shrug* only a couple.
Chocomobo (10:14:15 PM): heehee :)
Evertide05 (10:14:16 PM): And it's only now that I more or less have a sprite avatar.
Chocomobo (10:14:27 PM): :D
Chocomobo (10:15:14 PM): note that he won't act exactly like you, but now he might have a little more of you in him :D I know Nate, Jim, Cait, and Chris have divulged from their analogs in recent years
Chocomobo (10:15:22 PM): Of course, Author hasn't
Evertide05 (10:15:54 PM): Well, from what I've seen, he's not a whole lot like me anyway. F'rinstance, I'm too shy to use cheesy pickup lines.
Chocomobo (10:16:11 PM): XD
Chocomobo (10:16:19 PM): but still, Si he shall be :D
Evertide05 (10:16:30 PM): *gets all tingly*
Chocomobo (10:18:40 PM): ^^
Chocomobo (10:24:03 PM): glad I could brighten your evening
Evertide05 (10:24:13 PM): Oh, you made my day.
Chocomobo (10:26:25 PM): :)

Evertide05 (11:03:59 PM): My brother says "Make a guy named Hunter, and make him the annoying little kid."
Evertide05 (11:04:09 PM): I told him you've got one, and he's based on your own brother.
Chocomobo (11:04:16 PM): XD
Evertide05 (11:04:26 PM): He says "dang it!"
Chocomobo (11:04:36 PM): ha! :D

Everyone go read his comic. It's funny and universal ^_^

Fur off Furbid

*grumbles* One could debate endlessly about the morality surrounding real fur, but a site that caters to furries, selling real animal fur...I'm disappointed in both the site, even though I've never used it, and the fur community.

Body Works

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

Just got back from a little exhibit at the science museum called Body Worlds. For those of you who haven't heard, what they do is take some...I dunno, two, three dozen honest-to-Bahamut human bodies and do some process called plasti-...plaster-...plasticization? Well, point is, they show off bodies with varying levels of skin and muscle pulled away to reveal what we look like. That is, the bodies are still standing upright and aren't even behind glass.

Now, in real life, blood, to a point, I can handle, but guts are and other story. I was prepared to be freaked out, but in the end, it was more like reading the books on the human body I so enjoyed as a kid (and still do), only this time, the visual aids were much more...real. I steeled myself for entering the section on fetal development, which I daresay was the main reason why I went, but my nervousness proved unwarranted.

So my overall impression? Well, I think a little song from Mystery Science Theater 3000'll sum it up. *ahem*

Warning: You may or may not find this song to be in bad taste. If songs making lighthearted fun of areas of the human body usually best left unexposed (well...most of the time -_^) do not entertain you...too bad :P

Servo: Hey fellas, there sure is a lot of skin in this movie isn't there?
Mike: There sure is!
Crow: Yet despite all the acres of flesh in this film, I just can't come up with a word that describes it!
Servo: Well I can!
Mike: Ya can?
Servo: Why su-u-ure! It's...

Okay, I know, haven't done anything in over a week. "Where's that energy you showed when you posted three stories?" you ask. Well, right now it's not here, though I have been fiddlin' with the continuation of Triple-S and Bailmont. At first it was just gone, but recently I've been having some relationship problems that left me pretty down for a little while. I think things are getting better, though.

Eh...well, maybe this'll help kickstart my motivator and maybe my carburetor. If you're so inclined, drop me a note saying which series you want to see go past its prologue stage first: Bailmont or Triple-S. If you can say why, that'd score bonus experience points, but whatever happens, the one that doesn't come first, obviously, will be next on my to-do list. If I get my way, you'll get one of my other stories continued in the same update ^_^

Well, didn't feel like saying much the other day, but as of about 7:45 P.M. CST yesterday, I'm back from my trip. Now you get me pretty much to yourselves for almost the rest of the week (except for when I work, of course), you lucky persons you ^_^

Details of my trip are available upon request, but I will say that spending about four days in a U-Haul(r) is boring as hell, laptop and i-Pod or not, to say nothing of loading and unloading furniture.

But enough of my griping, got my rear in gear and put up a few stories, including the start of the new series I was talking about. Lemme know whatcha think, if anything.

And now I need to go reassure my dog that the world's not ending because of fireworks...poor girl...*gets her tranquilizers and hopes they work*

Out of town

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

I really really should've mentioned this sooner, but I'm out of town from 6/25 until 7/3 and probably will have no internet access. Even if I do, it will be extremely limited and I'll have to use it pretty carefully. So don't feel sore because I don't respond to anything, cuz I'm not here.

I'll miss you guys. But there is one bright side: I'll probably have all the time in the world to read and write, so odds are I'll have quite a bit for you guys to read when I get back. And hey, when I do get back, I'll have the house to myself (and my sister, who's seldom here), so then I'm all yours. Kay? ^_^

Oh, and in case you aren't watching my scraps, I put the start of a new story in 'ere the other day. No, you don't have to comment, I'm just bringing it to your attention.

*sings* On the road agaaain...
